and fly Like the original, the Firebird XL includes everything you need to fly in one package. This includes a 2-channel transmitter (Dry) and a 900mAh NiMH battery pack with a 300mA wall charger and instruction video. It also features the same super simple 2-channel flight control system that the original Firebird uses, with just one difference: there is no throttle trim or offset on the throttle channel. This actually makes flying the Firebird XL easier than the original because there's less for a beginner to have to tinker with or keep track of. You can assemble the Firebird XL and have it flying almost as soon as you get it home from the shop. The whole assembly process only takes about 15 minutes, and you may need an hour or two to charge up the battery for the first flight. The included instructional video takes you step-by-step through the assembly process and offers some useful flying tips. So even if you've never flown an R/C airplane in your life, you can experience a successful start on your own. Batteries & Chargers for Transmitter Please Click

The
geared motor and high-efficiency prop provides the Tiger Moth
exceptional climb performance. In our tests we could climb from 5' off
the floor to the base of a 40' ceiling in just 7 seconds. Power comes
from a 150mAh 6-cell pack (not included), which consistently yields
about 5 1/2-minute flight times.
To get the most out of the Tiger Moth, we strongly suggest you use GWS's Pico Sub-Micro Flight Pack. It includes a 4-channel FM micro-receiver, 2-Pico Sub-Micro Servos, a 7.2V 150mAh 6-cell stick pack (optional 8.4V 7-cell pack available separately), and a micro-electronic speed control. It is available in both JR and Futaba versions. The GWS Tiger Moth is easily one of the finest slow flyers we've come across to date. Not only is it an outstanding reproduction of a British aviation classic, but it features the same charming flight characteristics that made the full-scale Tiger Moth such a classic to begin with. This one is not to be missed. |
